Maponya is a Lawyer by profession. In his career he worked in the insurance industry as an Legal advisor and proceeds to the consulting industry in both Public and Private sector focusing on legal matters, during which he was involved in some of the major projects in the country, like the restructuring of the Electricity Distribution of Industry of South Arica – EDI (Legal Work Stream responsible for inter alia the Drawing of Corporate Governance), Gauteng Office of the Premier, Eskom, Mpumalanga Department of Sport Recreation, The Independent Electoral Commission and University of Fort Hare in the development of EE Plan, Review of Contracts for Sisonke Municipality, Drawing of the Human Resource Plan for Department of Agriculture, Drawing and Finalisation Policies and Procedures Corporate Manual. Land Bank Stakeholder Management for a Disaster Project Maponya has served as a project Manager in various projects.
He sits on various Boards. He is an ex-member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.
Maponya holds a B Proc (Law) degree from the University of Fort Hare, Dispute analysis & Forensic investigation Programme PricewaterhouseCoopers,
Executive Management Programme in Mineral and Energy Management MEETI (WITS & MQA). Maponya also served in various companies as a Director and a shareholder with the primary focus of increasing the share value and provide in -house legal service.
Milingoni is a law graduate with over 15 years of legal experience with vast experience in corporate environment having worked in the short term insurance industry as a legal advisor with Outsurance Insurance Company. He proceeded to work for Hollard Insurance Company as third party and Recovery Specialist , third party and recovery analyist and a consultant for Outsurance , where he was responsible for Assessing merits and making decisions regarding recovery. Sending Letters of Demand to third parties or their representatives. Appointing Tracing Agents to locate the whereabouts of third parties who give false information. Drafting an Acknowledgement of Debt contract for third parties agreeing to pay monthly. Preparing monthly stats for claims and amount recovered. Refunding and processing payments of client excess. Updating clients regarding progress on claims. He alert joined ABSA Insurance Company as Third Party & Recovery Specialist responsible for inter alia the following , Sending Letters of Demand to guilty or negligent parties. Recovering expenses the company has incurred when settling, replacing or repairing damages caused by the guilty or negligent party.
Litigating in cases where third parties are not willing to settle claims. Drafting and preparing Acknowledgement of Debt contract where third parties agrees to settle claim on a monthly basis. Appointing Assessor to quantify client and third party damages. Appointing Loss Adjustor to investigate claims.
Negotiate for a fair and reasonable settlement offer wherein the client has caused accident or damages on third party property. Sending rejection / repudiation letters to third parties wherein our client is not to blame for accident or damages suffered by third parties.
He also has a great sound experience in Debt Collection , commercial , Labour and Judiciary services general.
He is in a process to register as a member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa. Milingoni Holds a B Juris (Law) degree from the University of Limpopo, Certificate of Proficiency (COP).
